Sea King XV647 departing Thruxton this morning.

Destination reported as Chard.... so likely going to Lift West with their fleet of aircraft.

G-BRTL arrives

 

Some movement.... albeit by road. Hughes 500E G-BRTL arrived by road from Sywell for paint this morning.

HeliOps S61 XV666 may have also visited again looking at tracks on FR24.

HeliOps3 XV666 visits

 

HeliOps3 XV666 landed at Thruxton this afternoon, not on the normal field, but on the track at the entrance to the chicane. It had routed Portland to London, down the heli lanes and back to the SW via Thruxton. Photo credit : Shaun McRandle. 

New resident Gazelle

 

A new arrival yesterday captured by Sean McRandle.

Westland Gazelle HT.3 G-TSTR ex Falcon\Gazelle Display will be based with Nova Systems at the airfield.

EC120's on a sunny day

EC120's were the order of the day.....

G-JBBB acted as crew ferry for the pick up of newly painted and to be re-registered G-SWNG to G-TIMO.

Elsewhere on the field AS355F1 G-PIPB was training out of Heli Air, Bell 206-L1 G-OSAR was on the Heliwork dispersal and Cabri G2 G-OCDO was training, but parked up at the pumps over lunchtime. The Air Ambulance G-HIOW was on stand as usual.

EC155B1 M-LIZI departed by road back to Denham today after arriving for paint 3 weeks ago.

Bell 429 at Heliwork

Bell 429 G-WLTS (57191) has been at Thruxton recently for some engineering work at the Bell CSF Heliwork.

G-OLDO becomes G-JSCB

EC120B G-JSCB (1489) ex G-OLDO departed today after paint with Edmondsons, it flew back to Shoreham.

A blast from the past.... R44 Clipper G-TRCW (1022) taken on 24th October 2006 outside Edmondsons after paint for Heli Air.

Bell 429 - N429JC

Bell 429 - N429JC has been at Thruxton for a week or so, today it flew to Hurn (where it was photographed by Martin Uzzell)

It then flew on to Guernsey, there is a return flight plan lodged on FR24, so it looks like it will be returning later today.

UPDATE : This looks to have been sold to the USA and was shipped last week via Southampton docks and will operate in Hawaii.

R44 departs after paint

R44II G-OGJC departed today after paint with Edmondsons.

A nice refresh as the old Viper blue and gold was looking a bit tired.

A109S G-MSVI

Noted today for the first time was A109S G-MSVI (22029) operating from it's new home at hangar 2B

Bell 505 G-IIBB

New visitor to the airfield in all of the 505's today was G-IIBB.

Looks like a Bell 505 event at Heliwork today.

G-DONE, G-EIMS, G-IDFE, G-IGGI, G-IIBB, G-JRXI, G-MADZ, and G-XXSF were all in attendance, as well as B407 G-JGXP.

So that is 8 of the UK registered fleet of 12 Bell 505's on the airfield today.

Cabri G2 G-OGTC departs after paint

Newly re-registered Guimbal Cabri G2 G-OGTC (ex G-VVBH) rolled out of the paintshop today in it's fantastic red and white scheme. It flew back to HQ at Denham this afternoon.
